About 70% of our work is designing, developing, maintaining and hosting sites for individuals, communities and businesses. Hosting and domain management was added to our list back in 2005 and since then we have added many sites to our servers and manage multiple clients servers.
The largest proportion of this work is actually design and development though. And since 2002 we have published over 1200 designs. Some for cash but mostly FREE or for donations.
Why can't you see our design's on this site? Simple. Every time we are asked to create a website we start from scratch, not from templates. If we start from scratch, you recieve a bespoke design. This is also why we don't, usually, advertise websites we have completed. Although, our webmasters will be happy to show you some of these designs during your design process to confirm that you definately want the design elements you are asking for.
We run local servers for 'part time' and short term websites and also remote servers for full websites and file storage. We also pay for hosting and server management by other companies.
Our sub-domain hosting is always free. All you have to do is contact us and describe what you need and why you need it. You need to comply with a few rules, please see Terms and Privacy links at the bottom of our pages.
Webmail, 'Outlook' Mail, and Email Forwarding are all available from Clovemill Group (UK)
We provide email services as part of our 'Web Packages' and on their own to individuals for all the same reasons that everyone else does... almost. We dont use email services as an advertising medium.
From small home networking to larger business networks, we will get you connected. We cover all types of networking and server setup & management.
We design and build new PC's. Repair, modify or maintain older systems Just call on us. We also backup & restore data and manage system/network security.
If you need a truly personal PC then we will put one together for you. Not to our design or budget but to yours.
From fitting a video card (VGA) to building a PC into an old microwave oven, its all possible. And we can do it. Lets get creative...
What goes up must come down... saddly. When its time to admit that your system has given up the ghost, cry on our shoulder. We will recycle it or give it a (what-a-bloody) state funeral at prices cheaper than any funeral director.... FREE.
Printer ink, paper, pen's, pencil's, whiteboard's, etc. Even cleaning and catering supplies are supplied at competative prices to Clovemill Group (UK) members only.
Word processing, spreadsheet's and database's for personal and small businesses.

Whats the point in living in 2009, with space stations flying over head, nuclear power through your home and not being able to communicate or work on your PC? I hate answering a question with another question but thats a perfect answer.
We have all, at some point, been needing to do something on our PC when it's screwed up and we didn't know how to fix it. We checked the phonebook, looking for help, and found that it would almost be easier to go buy a new machine. Im sure you know the scene.
We learned how to fix the problems, one at a time, system by system until we knew the answers. Then we learned how to network, host, etc. All so that we wouldnt have to spend a fortune and maybe even make a fortune using our own systems. But it isnt very polite to charge friends, family, etc a fortune when you know how to do it for nothing or for little cost. It's also not very polite to expect someone to do all that hard work for nothing. The middle ground is a donation for the workers.
Putting ourselves in the position of our clients, with the skill and training, experience and contacts that we have, allows us to get the job done without it having to cost a fortune.
We use the minimum of resources to gain the maximum output.
Our workplace is generally our home-offices or your 'office'. We do not rent, buy or lease premesis for any part of our business. This is probably the main reason we can offer so many services for free.
Thats a secret... We will, however, fully introduce your allocated project worker before you commit to any work agreement. Our staff are highly qualified and/or experienced in their field, vetted for current criminal records or outstanding convictions. And they spend time on probation, working beside senior staff, before working alone on any project for you.

The name comes from the old Clove Mill in Larkhall, Lanarkshire. The little mill has been gone for almost 50 years now. It was, in its time, a busy little cottage mill beside an old stone bridge on the river Avon, near Millheugh. The mill was powered by a water wheel which turned the millstones inside. It was minimalistic, traditional, productive and well located.
This creative use of minimal resources to power productivity is what we model our group upon.
It may be a little 'romantic' as a model but it was while standing on the site of this mill, considering how to set up and run this business that the name, business model and ethics came together.
Added to this is the fact that Clovemill Group (UK) own an actual millstone from the old Clove Mill. Found on the site only a few years ago. We also have the only origional painting of the mill. This painting was gifted to the grandmother of our founder, Mr Davy Currie, in the 1950's by the artist herself, Mrs Guthry.. Hows that for coincidence?
